Meet the new WheelWorks Arts chair: Mairéad Duffy

Ms Mairéad Duffy has assumed the role of Chair at WheelWorks Arts, replacing Mr. Aodhan Connolly, who has stepped back from the chairmanship but will continue as a member of the board.

Mairéad brings a strong background to the position, having graduated from the University of Ulster with a BMus Hons and a PGCE in Music Education. She is known for her involvement with the Belfast Harp Orchestra and her accomplishments as a vocalist, including winning the Nancy Calthorpe Memorial Prize for Irish Harp and Voice at Dublin Feis Ceoil.

With vast experience in choral music education and a passion for the social value of the arts, Mairéad's appointment as Chair reflects the organisation's ongoing commitment to fostering creative arts experiences for all.
