Wheelworks Arts (WWA) is proud to announce its involvement in the festival, offering an exciting series of DIGITAL ARTS & GAMING WORKSHOPS that promise to ignite creativity and inspire young minds. These workshops are not to be missed and will take place at the Ulster Museum's Learning Zone on Saturday, the 7th of October, priced at just £6.00 per session.

 

Virtual Reality Workshop (11.00am-12.00pm, Ages: 13-16). Step into the captivating world of Virtual Reality with our Oculus headsets. Participants will be introduced to the latest Virtual Reality technology, immersing themselves in a range of experiences and games. From feeling the rhythm in the electrifying game "Beat Saber" to exploring breathtaking landscapes in "Epic Roller Coasters" and even creating three-dimensional paintings and sculptures using "Multi Brush," the possibilities are boundless!

 

Augmented Reality Workshop (1.00pm-2.00pm, Ages: 11-15). Dive into the intriguing realm where the virtual world seamlessly blends with reality. Using augmented reality apps on our iPads, participants will interact with coloring sheets that come to life, craft their own face masks and filters, just like those found on Snapchat, and experience the world through the captivating lens of digital technology.

 

Game Design Workshop (3.00pm-4.00pm, Ages: 11-15). Are you a fan of video games? Ever dreamed of creating your own? This workshop is your chance to shine. Participants will learn the art of designing and building their very own games, infused with their unique artwork and narratives. Afterward, they'll have the opportunity to put their creations to the test with their peers. The only limit is the boundless expanse of their imagination!
