Really enjoyed it, wanted more!

In February and March this year, the Wheelworks Art’s ArtCart attended 29 events across Northern Ireland providing a wide range of arts at many different events undertaking creative sessions that covered DJing, digital arts and badge making to children and young people.

The WheelWorks Arts (WWA) ArtCart is an outreach and community engagement programme and the name WWA gives to its unique ArtCart vehicle that serves as a fully equipped mobile studio space in which arts sessions may be held.

For example, on 17th February 2023, the ArtCart was active at the Greater Village Restoration Trust in south Belfast for a community fun day helping the local community tackle the anti-social problem of dog mess.

The feedback the ArtCart received from children, community groups and professionals who work with younger people was very positive.

People rated the organisation of the event at which the ArtCart was present at 4.3 out of 5. When groups that booked the ArtCart asked whether it was value for money, 85.71% agreed it was, this compares with only 14.29% that said it was ‘overpriced’.
