The Future Focus programme supports on-the-street youth work in a new direction through art & digital technology-led workshops, onboard our unique mobile social space, the ChillCart.
We are delighted to have been awarded funding this year from the Northern Ireland Executive Office, Good Relations Fund to deliver two of our Future Focus projects, and partnering with four youth group to support at risk young people through art-led activities. We are proud to say that Future Focus is currently in its 4th year!
Future Focus creatively supports ongoing on-the-street outreach by engaging with young people where they are in their communities, providing a safe space for imagination and conversations. The programmes aim is to help connect with youth people who are facing multiple sectarian barriers and to support in cultivating healthier relationships within and across communities, moving towards cross-community activity days and celebration events.
The ChillCart is a vital element to our Future Focus projects. It offers a safe space where young people who are generally disengaged from youth centre settings, feel comfortable to drop in and engage with different art & digital technology on their own terms, play some games on our ChillCart PlayStation, and share some hot drinks & snacks!
