The Chillcart —
as a Social Space
WheelWorks ChillCart is perfect for organisations who are doing outreach work in their community and need a safe and dry space to engage with hard to reach young people. It’s ideal for everything from sharing a cup of tea, meeting friends to discussing problems about home, school and relationships.
Young people can drop in, listen to music, watch a movie, enjoy board or outdoor games and much more.
ChillCart hire includes a self-contained mobile unit with wheelchair access, lighting and electric sockets, an extendable stage with a viewing platform, Wi-Fi and a driver to deliver, set up and remove the vehicle from your chosen location. (Access is required to a level area for parking and room for manoeuvring — 30 ft. long × 8 ft. wide, 18 ft. wide with stage area open.)
NB. Please note this is not an activity-based service like the ArtCart sessions.

— HALF DAY HIRE (4 HOURS) = £240
— FULL DAY HIRE (7 HOURS) = £430
**Plus Additional Mileage for distances over 30 miles return trip @ £1.20 per mile

as A Breathing Space
At WheelWorks, we believe that public events should be open and accessible to everyone, especially to people with additional needs such as autism, ADHD and sensory needs.
WheelWorks ChillCart offers people with additional needs and their families/carers a relaxed break-away space at large outdoor festivals and events. There, they can have close at hand privacy, a safe space to go if they become anxious and time to decompress when facing unpredictable or unexpected moments or challenges.
The facility that the ChillCart provides gives people with additional needs and their families the opportunity to enjoy performances and activities in their community together, in a relaxed and safe environment.
For councils and event organisers, the ChillCart can help you to play a pioneering role in removing barriers to participation for people with additional needs. It will help to show that Northern Ireland is open and accessible and is not being left behind when it comes to enabling everyone in our community to enjoy the events that you provide.
