COMMUNITY & YOUTH GROUPS
Our sessions can be adapted to fit a theme or occasion but mostly they’re about having fun and being creative.
Here are some examples of community level ArtCart workshops with closed groups;

Format: Once-off-Workshop (Nov. 22)
Artform: Digital Music
A group of about 10 older teen-boys were really interested in music, especially hip hop. Their center offered lots of sports and activities but not much for music making. They booked a Virtual ArtCart session, and the lads got to spend an evening making and mixing their own music live as a group – with digital files to keep and share online!

Monkstown Village Youth wanted to run a creative project with an environmental focus. They booked WheelWorks for an artist-facilitator to work with their after-school group (aged 7 – 11) on a craft and project. The group made puppets from the center’s recycling and brought them to life with stop motion animation. The project showed that one person’s trash can become another’s treasure!

The ArtCart zoomed out West for a day of workshops with the FIND center (Fermanagh Information for Needs and Development) who provide a safe youth space and accessible information. Since lockdown, they have been helping young people deal with rising mental health and anxiety issues. In the scenic location of Enniskillen castle, we did some AR and Animation workshops with a group of young people they were supporting.
